HAUT Protection Film Inc., 361 S State Rt 17, Hackensack, NJ 07601 ("we", "us", "our") operates the haut-usa.com website and store. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you create a store account, purchase film, tools, or other goods, register a product warranty, or otherwise use this site. Use of the HAUT cutting software is covered separately by the HAUT software LLC Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Store Account & Business Data (B2B): contact name, business name, business address, email, phone number, and your confirmation that you are registering on behalf of a business.
• Order & Shipping Data: products ordered, order history, shipping address, carrier and tracking information, delivery confirmations, and any resale or tax exemption certificates you provide.
• Payment Information: processed securely by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. As the authorized billing agent for HAUT software LLC, we also process payments for software subscriptions and credits; charges appear on your statement under our name.
• Warranty Registration Data (vehicle owners): if you register a HAUT film warranty, we collect your name, email, vehicle identification number (VIN), the installing shop, the installation date, and any photographs you submit.
• Marketing Consent (vehicle owners): if you tick the optional box when registering a warranty, we record that you consented, when, and the exact wording you were shown, so that we can always show what you agreed to. It is never a condition of registering, and withdrawing it never affects your coverage.
• Support & Claims Data: communications with our support and warranty teams, including photographs and documents submitted with defect or warranty claims.
• Technical Data: IP address, browser and device information, and basic analytics about how the site is used, collected via cookies and similar technologies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit site functionality.
• Advertising & Measurement Data: we run one advertising tracker — the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram) — because we advertise our cutting software to installation shops and our paint protection film, and its installation by certified shops, to vehicle owners. It records that a page on this site was opened and, on the pages about our film, how far the page was read and which of its buttons and questions were pressed, together with the identifiers Meta's own cookies place in your browser (including the click identifier from an advertisement you arrived on) and the IP address and browser user agent that every web request carries. Where an advertised action is completed — including a message sent through our contact form after reading one of the pages about our film, of which Meta is told only that a message was sent — the same event is also reported a second time from our servers so that one conversion is not counted twice, and we may report a later event when a business application is approved, so that we can tell which advertisements reach shops that qualify. If you apply for a software account as a business on our advertising pages, those server-side reports may also include your business email address and business telephone number, irreversibly hashed before they leave us, solely so that Meta can match the conversion to the advertisement that produced it. We receive nothing about you from Meta in return. Nothing else you type into a form on this site is ever included or matched against an account at Meta — in particular your name, your vehicle identification number, and anything submitted with a warranty registration or a warranty claim are never sent, and the advertising tracker does not load at all on the pages where you would enter them.
• Where the advertising tracker never loads: it is switched off completely on your store account pages, on sign-in, password reset and checkout, and on warranty registration and warranty status. It does not load on those pages and does not record anything from them.
• Session recording. To see where the site is hard to use, we record how visitors move through its pages — scrolling, clicks and taps, and the page they leave from — with Microsoft Clarity, which sets its own cookies. Everything typed into a form on this site is masked in these recordings and never captured, and Clarity does not run on account, sign-in, checkout or warranty pages. Recordings are kept by Microsoft for up to 30 days. The "Do Not Sell or Share" switch and Global Privacy Control turn it off too.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Orders & Fulfillment: to process orders, arrange shipping, provide tracking, handle returns and defect claims, and calculate applicable taxes, including reviewing and recording any exemption certificate you send us and applying it to your account.
• Billing: to process payments for goods and, as billing agent, for HAUT software subscriptions and credits, including auto-renewals, renewal reminders, and cancellation confirmations.
• Warranty Program: to record warranty registrations, verify eligibility, administer claims, and arrange replacement installations through certified shops.
• Security & Fraud Prevention: to protect the store and our customers, investigate payment disputes, and prevent abuse.
• Communications: service, administrative, order, and billing emails. If you have ticked the optional box when registering a warranty, we also send care and cleaning guidance for your film, reminders about your coverage, and safety notices. We do not send offers on that basis, and you can stop those emails from any one of them without affecting your warranty.
• Improvement: aggregate, de-identified analysis of site and store usage.
• Advertising: to measure the campaigns that advertise our cutting software to installation shops and our film and its certified installation to vehicle owners, to see which of those advertisements led to an enquiry, and to build audiences of people who have visited the pages those campaigns point to, so that we can show them our advertising again. We do not advertise to vehicle owners on the basis of a warranty registration.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal or business data. We share information only as needed:

• with HAUT software LLC, under a written intercompany agreement — to provision, adjust, or revoke software credits tied to film purchases, and for fraud prevention and enforcement across the HAUT platform;
• with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL) — name, shipping address, and phone number, to deliver your orders;
• with certified installation shops — warranty registration and claim details, to verify installations and arrange approved replacement work;
• with service providers — payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting, email delivery, and support tools, under confidentiality obligations;
• with Meta Platforms, Inc. — the page views and identifiers described under “Advertising & Measurement Data” above, collected by the Meta pixel, for advertising measurement and audience targeting. Under the CCPA/CPRA this is a sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; Section 6 explains how to opt out of it;
• with Google — pages viewed and the identifiers its analytics cookies place in your browser, so that we can measure how this site is used; this is measurement of our own site and we do not use it to advertise to you. We also use Google's business storage to hold documents you send us, including any tax exemption certificate;
• as required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, customers, or the public;
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy continues to apply to previously collected data.

4. Data Retention

• Store account data: for as long as your account is active, then deleted or de-identified within ninety (90) days of closure, except as below.
• Order, billing, and tax records: retained for the periods required by law and for up to seven (7) years to establish and defend legal claims.
• Warranty registrations and claims: retained for thirteen (13) years (the ten-year warranty period plus three years), including after the related store account is closed, so that we can honor the warranty for its full term.
• Records associated with accounts terminated for fraud or abuse (including hardware and network identifiers): retained for up to seven (7) years to enforce the ban.

5. Security

We maintain industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

6. Your US Privacy Rights

Depending on your state, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to the retention requirements above (for example, we cannot delete an active warranty record without voiding the registration, and we retain records required for tax purposes). We do not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration. We do share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined by the CCPA/CPRA: the Meta pixel described in Section 1 discloses page views and the identifiers Meta's cookies place in your browser to Meta Platforms, Inc. You can opt out of that sharing at any time. The quickest way is the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer of every page, which switches the advertising tracker off for your browser immediately; we also honor Global Privacy Control signals automatically, and where your browser sends one you do not need to do anything else. You may instead email us at the address below with “Do Not Share” in the subject line, block or clear cookies in your browser, or use the ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account. Opting out does not affect your orders, your warranty coverage, or how we handle a claim, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights. To exercise them, contact us using the details below; we will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law.

7. Children

The store is B2B and the warranty program is directed to vehicle owners; neither is directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or site notice, with the version and "Last Updated" date revised accordingly. Prior versions are retained and available on request.
