Why HAUT
Fewer shops, better film, on purpose
HAUT Protection Film Inc. makes paint protection film for a deliberately small certified installer network — one shop per 250,000 residents, 6 years of closed field testing before open sale, a performance number published only once it is measured on the film sold here — and installs it at its own studio in Hackensack, NJ.

The position
A small network, by design
HAUT is built to supply a small number of shops with the best film we can make, not to sell to the whole market. The film spent 6 years in a closed network of partner shops before a roll was sold openly. It is sold only to shops HAUT has certified — one per 250,000 residents, no two closer than 8 miles — and the 10-year warranty follows that certification. HAUT installs the film itself, at one studio that counts against the same cap as any dealer. A performance number is published only once it has been measured on the film we sell, with the method beside it; until then the row is blank rather than estimated. That makes HAUT a more closed brand than most in this category, on purpose: fewer bays, each one trained on this film, is the only way a 10-year warranty on a hand-applied product means anything.
What that means if you own the car
The shop that films your car was certified on this film and cuts from the same pattern library as every other certified shop, and the warranty you register is against the car, not against a card in a glovebox. There are fewer HAUT shops than there are shops carrying the big brands; the one near you is there because a person approved it.
The numbers on a HAUT product page are the numbers the film tested to, with the method beside each. If a property is not on the page, it was not measured — it was not rounded up.
What that means if you run a shop
Your territory is a number in your dealer terms — one shop per 250,000 residents, never two within 8 miles, 60days' notice with first refusal — not a promise on a call. HAUT's own studio occupies a slot in that arithmetic rather than sitting outside it.
You are not one of a thousand. You are the shop in your area, and the brand is counting on you to be the reason the film has the reputation it has.
How it shows up
Six policies, each written down somewhere you can read it
None of these is a slogan. Each one is a rule the company runs on, and each has its own page.
6 years before the first sale
The first production roll was made in 2020 and sold to nobody. 2020–2025 it went only to a closed network of partner shops that reported every failure back. Open sales began January 2026.
One certified shop per 250,000 residents
Written into the dealer terms rather than promised on a call: one shop per 250,000 residents in the catchment, never two within 8 miles, and 60 days' written notice with first refusal before anyone else is appointed in a territory.
Our own studio is in the count
HAUT installs film itself, in Hackensack. That studio occupies a territory slot exactly as a certified shop does, and any studio HAUT opens later follows the same rule as a second dealer — never inside a certified shop's territory.
Certified shops only, and the warranty follows the certification
The 10-year limited warranty applies to film installed by a HAUT-certified shop, registered online by the vehicle owner against the car. A roll that reaches a car any other way carries no warranty.
A number only once it is measured, with its method
The film sold in the United States is being tested at a US laboratory to ASTM methods. Each film's values go on its page when its report is in hand, with the method beside each; until then the page shows the thickness and finish it is made to, and nothing is estimated.
A person reads every application
Applying costs nothing — no fee, no card, no credit check. A person reads it, usually within two business days, and the answer can be no; when it is, the shop is told why rather than hearing nothing.

Comparing brands
Six questions to put to any PPF brand
Put them to HAUT too. The answers above are ours; a brand that cannot answer one of them plainly has told you something.
- 01
How many shops carry your film, and what decides who gets to?
HAUT: one certified shop per 250,000 residents, 8 miles apart, a person reads every application, and the answer can be no.
- 02
Do you install film yourselves, and if so, do your own bays compete with your dealers?
HAUT: yes, at one studio in Hackensack — and that studio counts against the same territory cap as any dealer.
- 03
How long was the film on customers' cars before you sold it openly?
HAUT: 6 years, in a closed network of partner shops, before open sales in January 2026.
- 04
Which test method produced each number on your spec sheet?
HAUT: the ASTM method is printed beside the number, on the product page — and no number is printed until the US laboratory report for that film is in hand.
- 05
What does the warranty cover, by name, and who can register it?
HAUT: cracking, delamination, blistering and premature yellowing, for 10 years, registered online by the vehicle owner, certified shops only.
- 06
What do you say about the products that are not ready?
HAUT: that they are not ready. Ceramic coating, marine film, surface film and window tint have pages, waiting lists, and no invented specifications.
The questions people ask about the brand
Two doors in
If you own the car, the locator will find the certified shop nearest you — or bring it to HAUT's own studio, HAUT Flagship Studio, in Hackensack. If you run a shop, the application is free and a person will read it.
