PPF training, taught by installers
Most PPF training is sold by people who train for a living. Ours is taught by people who install for a living — on Ferraris, on Porsches, on customer cars with a deadline. The same team writes the patterns, cuts them, applies them, and built the software that cuts them.

Why us
Taught by people who still install for a living
Everything in the course was learned on a car with a customer waiting for it, not written for a slide deck.
We install
A working shop with a documented archive: 500+ recorded sessions between April 2024 and February 2025, across 20+ complete vehicle projects. Filmed on the job, not staged for a course.
We teach
Online modules you can rewind at 11pm before tomorrow's car, and hands-on days where somebody experienced stands next to you while you put film on a real panel.
We equip
The patterns, the software and the film come from the same people who taught you to use them. You leave able to cut the car you just practised on.
The archive is the course
It contains the difficult middle, not just the finished cars: film going onto a wet fender, a squeegee working into a carbon-mesh bumper vent, edges being tucked, matte film being laid.
We work where the car is
An enclosed transport trailer and a heavy-duty truck. Collection and mobile work is part of how we run, and part of what we teach.
Making film since 2020
HAUT started in 2017 and spent 6 years testing its own film through a closed network of partner shops before selling it. The course is taught on that experience.
Formats
Two ways to learn it
Online — HAUT Academy
For a shop owner or installer who wants to learn, or bring a new hire up to speed, without closing the bay for a week.
- Video-first — every module is real footage from real jobs, shot close enough to see the film move.
- Watch at your own pace, on any device, as many times as you need.
- Built in modules, so a new hire can be given exactly the three they need this week.
PPF is a craft you learn by watching hands. A close, slow, repeatable view of a difficult corner is worth more than a classroom — and unlike a class, you can rewind it the night before the car comes in.
Hands-on — in our bay
For an installer ready to put film on a car with somebody experienced standing next to them.
- Small groups, real cars, real film, a real plotter — not a training panel on a bench.
- You cut your own patterns on the software, then install them.
- One-to-one correction on the parts video cannot teach: pressure, temperature, stretch, and the feel of a squeegee at the edge.
The hands-on course runs to a schedule with a deliberately small group, so dates and places are confirmed per intake rather than always open.
Want us at your shop instead, on your plotter and your cars? Ask about on-site training.
Curriculum
Eight modules, first squeegee to full body
Drawn from the work in the archive, in the order a car actually gets done.
Module 3 is where the software enters. Every student learns to cut their own patterns on HAUT CUT CORE — 2,500+ vehicles, true-shape nesting, and a plotter setup that takes minutes instead of an afternoon.
Tracks
Three ways in
| Track | Who it is for | What you can do at the end |
|---|---|---|
| Foundation | No PPF experience. Detailers, new hires, career changers. | Can install a full front end to a customer standard, unsupervised. |
| Professional | Working installers who want the hard panels and the speed. | Full-body work, matte and color film, bumpers without relief cuts. |
| Shop Owner | Owners and managers, whether or not they install. | Can cut patterns, quote accurately, price a package and run a bay profitably. |
The archive
The cars the course was filmed on
20+ complete vehicle projects, each one a real job with a real deadline. These are the cars the modules were filmed on.
- Ferrari 812 Superfast
- Ferrari 812 GTO
- Ferrari SF90 Stradale
- Ferrari F8
- Ferrari 296 GTB
- Ferrari FF
- Ferrari Roma
- Ferrari Purosangue
- Porsche 911
- Porsche 911 GT3
- Heavy-duty truck fleet work
Gloss, matte and color film, on paint that costs more to correct than most cars cost to buy. A matte red 812 does not give you a second attempt at a bumper.
The cars
The bay you are training for
Every car here came through our own shop. The course is built out of these jobs, not out of a classroom panel.

What you leave with
More than a certificate
A HAUT certificate
Issued by HAUT Protection Film Inc. Certification is also what makes our 10-year warranty apply to the work your shop does.
The patterns you cut in class
So the first job back at your own shop is a car you have already cut once, on software you already know.
The software workflow
You leave able to open a vehicle, nest it, price it and send it to a plotter — not just able to apply film someone else cut.
Somewhere to call
When a car goes wrong at six in the evening, the people who taught the module are the people who answer. Nobody in this trade advertises that. We will.

Ask about the next intake
Tell us which track you want, whether you are after online or hands-on, and how many people you are training. We will come back with the current intake dates, group size and the full price breakdown.
Training questions
The gap is about six panels wide
The difference between a good installer and a great one is a handful of panels. We know which ones. Come and cut them with us.
